Liverpool’s newest contemporary waterfront restaurant officially opens to the public on Tuesday 19 May, bringing together Indian Soul and Hakka Fire under one roof.
White Tiger is set to open on Kings Dock, unveiling a striking new dining destination that blends authentic Indian flavours with a modern, elevated approach.
Created by Merseyside-based doctors and long-time friends Meenal Abhyankar and Dhanya Kalathil, the restaurant brings a fresh perspective on Indian dining to the city’s waterfront.
Designed to feel immersive yet welcoming, the interiors combine rich textures, ambient lighting and contemporary styling with subtle nods to Indian heritage.
From handcrafted cocktails to carefully curated music and warm hospitality, every element has been considered to create a space that feels both refined and relaxed.
At the heart of the venue is a standout menu created by internationally acclaimed Master Chefs Shipra Khanna and Anahita Dhondy, whose combined vision brings together heritage, storytelling and modern technique.
Exploring the Concepts of Indian Soul and Hakka Fire

The menu is built around two distinct concepts, each offering its own identity and flavour profile.
Indian Soul celebrates the richness and diversity of regional Indian cuisine, reimagining comforting classics with depth, balance and elegance.
Guests can expect dishes including Butter Edamame Paneer, Salli Chicken and rich Dal Bukana, designed to showcase the layered flavours and refined techniques at the heart of Indian cooking.
Alongside it sits Hakka Fire, a bold exploration of Indo-Chinese cuisine inspired by Kolkata’s legendary Tangra district.
In this part of the menu, smoky wok-fired cooking, garlic, chilli and soy take centre stage. Dishes such as Chicken Manchurian, Hot Garlic Paneer and Triple Schezwan Fried Rice bring vibrant heat and high-energy flavour to the dining scene.
Complementing the food is a carefully curated drinks menu featuring handcrafted cocktails, premium wines and beers.
A Shared Vision From Founders Meenal Abhyankar and Dhanya Kalathil

For founders Meenal and Dhanya, the opening marks the culmination of their shared vision, bringing it to life in a way that reflects both their heritage and their connection to Liverpool.
Meenal Abhyankar, Co-founder of White Tiger, said:
“Opening White Tiger is a very special moment for us.
“This has been a vision built over time, and to finally see it come to life on Kings Dock is incredibly rewarding.
“We wanted to create something that feels true to the food we grew up with, but also reflects the way people want to dine today.
“Working with chefs like Shipra and Anahita has allowed us to bring together authentic flavours with a more modern approach.”
Dhanya Kalathil, Co-founder of White Tiger, added:
“From the interiors to the menu and the overall experience, every detail has been carefully considered.
“It was important for us to create a restaurant that feels welcoming, while also introducing people to flavours and dishes they may not have experienced before.
“We’re incredibly proud to finally open our doors and share White Tiger with Liverpool.”
White Tiger is open on Kings Dock from Tuesday, 19 May, with bookings available via the restaurant’s website.
The restaurant will be open from Tuesday to Sunday each week.
