Housed in the Grade II-listed India Buildings, Hawksmoor Liverpool offers a fitting backdrop for some of the best steak in Liverpool. The interior nods to the elegance and confidence of the Roaring Twenties, with original features sitting alongside handpicked antiques from the era. The bar, with its striking Art Deco fixtures, sets the tone from the moment you arrive.
We’re an olive’s throw from buzzing Castle Street, on the corner of Brunswick and Fenwick Street, and a minute’s walk from Moorfields and James Street train stations. The Maritime Museum and Royal Albert Dock are just a hop-and-a-skip away, too.
The menus revolve around the best ingredients we can find – whether it be beef from grass-fed traditionally reared cattle, sustainable seafood from around the British coast, seasonal fruits and vegetables or great British cheeses.
The spotlight may be on our sharing steaks and indulgent sides, but did you know we also have a lunch, pre & post theatre menu, award-winning Sunday roasts and a stunning private dining space for up to 18 guests.

Lunch – 1/2/3 courses for £18 / £23 / £28
Our lunch menu is built for days when time’s tight but standards aren’t. Expect Hawksmoor favourites like dry-aged rump steak, the Royale burger with cheese, beef-dripping chips and puddings worth making time for. Perfect for quick lunches, client meetings or mid-shopping refuels.
Early evening – 2/3 courses for £23 / £28
A set menu designed for early evening — proper food, done well, at a time that suits. Steaks, seafood and comforting classics, ideal for post-work dinners, catch-ups or pre-theatre plans before the evening gets going.
Mondays – BYO Wine Club
Bring any bottle you like and we’ll charge just £5 corkage — any size, all day Monday. A favourite for very good reason.
Sunday Roast
Our award-winning Sunday roast has twice been voted the Best Sunday Lunch in the UK, and it’s something we take very seriously. Expect dry-aged rump or slow-roasted sirloin served with roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings, seasonal veg and plenty of proper gravy. There’s also our Winslade Wellington for those after something meat-free - wrapped in golden pastry and served with all the trimmings.
