Docktoberfest at Hill Dickinson Stadium sells out ahead of October festival

Docktoberfest at Hill Dickinson Stadium has officially sold out, with more than 1,000 people set to attend the nine-hour festival this October.

The Bavarian-inspired event will take place at Everton’s waterfront home on Saturday, October 3, bringing together beer, food, live music and entertainment from 1pm until 10pm.

Demand has been strong since Docktoberfest was first announced, with Village Street and five of its interconnected venues set to be transformed for the Oktoberfest-style celebration.

A waiting list is now open for anyone who missed out on tickets.

Everton says up to 50 General Admission tickets, which had previously been held back for commercial and operational requirements, are expected to be released for public sale early next week.

People who have registered for the Docktoberfest waiting list will be eligible for the release, with selected applicants contacted directly by email and given the opportunity to buy up to two tickets.

What to expect at Docktoberfest

Docktoberfest will feature live brass bands, DJs, Bavarian-inspired food, beer tasting, karaoke, games and dining throughout the stadium’s Village Street area.

Guests will be able to move freely between the participating venues during the day.

Kendall’s Social will become the festival’s main bierhalle, while The Queen’s Head will offer beer tasting and sampling.

Domingo’s Bar & Grill will serve themed food before transforming into an evening cocktail lounge, while The Prince Rupert will feature karaoke, games and interactive entertainment.

Dixie’s by Budweiser will become a Bavarian-inspired food hall serving favourites including Bratwurst and Frankfurters.

The festivities will officially get under way with a traditional keg-tapping ceremony.

Live entertainment will include performances from Fat Cat Brass and Ivy League Oompah, followed by an All The Classics DJ Set during the evening.

The sell-out is another indication of the demand for events at Hill Dickinson Stadium outside Everton matchdays as the club looks to establish its new home as a year-round destination for sport, hospitality and entertainment.

More events coming to Hill Dickinson Stadium

Docktoberfest is one of a number of events taking place at the stadium in the coming weeks.

Movies on the Mersey will transform part of the waterfront stadium site into a pop-up drive-in cinema over the August Bank Holiday weekend.

The programme begins on Saturday, August 29, with Finding Nemo at 6pm and Mamma Mia! at 9pm.

Grease will be screened at 6pm on Sunday, August 30, followed by Back To The Future at 9pm.

The weekend concludes on Bank Holiday Monday, August 31, with a special 7.30pm showing of Howard’s Way.

Entry to the Howard’s Way screening will operate on a pay-what-you-want basis, with donations supporting Everton in the Community.

Hill Dickinson Stadium will then host the inaugural #Game4Hope charity football match on Saturday, September 26.

An all-star Merseyside XI featuring former Everton and Liverpool players will take on a Rest of the World XI to raise money and awareness for Everton in the Community and Shelter and their work tackling homelessness.

Everton great Peter Reid and Liverpool legend John Barnes will manage the Merseyside team, with former Blues including Leighton Baines, Phil Jagielka, Louis Saha and Yakubu among the players involved.

The Rest of the World squad is set to include World Cup-winning Brazil captain Cafu, Clarence Seedorf and Jaap Stam alongside personalities from entertainment and other sports.
