Creamfields has unveiled plans for Runway 2.0, a spectacular new stage set to debut at its 30th anniversary festival in 2027, bringing together two of its most iconic stage designs for an unforgettable dance music experience.
The UK’s biggest dance music festival will celebrate three decades of electronic music next summer, with the ambitious new arena set to become one of the standout attractions at the four-day event in Daresbury, Cheshire.

Combining elements of the much-loved Runway stage and the groundbreaking HALO arena, Runway 2.0 promises to take festival production to another level with immersive visuals, towering LED structures and a capacity of 20,000 people.
Runway 2.0 brings two iconic Creamfields stages together
First introduced in 2022, Runway quickly became a favourite among Creamfields fans thanks to its distinctive design and immersive atmosphere.
The concept evolved into HALO in 2025, introducing a spectacular 45-metre circular arena featuring 360-degree video, lighting and sound, alongside overhead production elements that surrounded festivalgoers.
Following huge demand for Runway’s return, Creamfields has now revealed plans to combine the defining features of both structures in an ambitious new design.

Created by award-winning creative studio Lucid Creates, the team responsible for the original Runway and HALO concepts, the new arena will represent the latest evolution in the festival’s approach to outdoor stage production.
Lucid Creates has worked with Creamfields since 2022, helping to develop some of the event’s most recognisable stage experiences.
What can festivalgoers expect from Runway 2.0?
The new Runway 2.0 arena will accommodate 20,000 festivalgoers and feature an enormous footprint measuring 60 metres long and 40 metres wide.
Its redesigned layout will combine HALO’s circular arena with Runway’s distinctive overhead structure, creating an immersive environment that extends out above the audience.
At the centre of the experience will be three enormous diamond-shaped structures, each measuring 15 metres and lined with LED screens.

These towering installations will form the visual centrepiece of the arena, with an enhanced overhead display delivering sweeping visuals, dynamic lighting and immersive video content.
With the DJ positioned at the heart of the experience, visuals will flow seamlessly from the stage across the suspended diamond structures, surrounding the audience with light and movement.
The ambitious configuration is designed to create an ever-changing visual spectacle, bringing together the energy and atmosphere of Runway with the 360-degree production that made HALO such a memorable addition to Creamfields.

The introduction of Runway 2.0 comes as Creamfields prepares for its landmark 30th anniversary celebrations in 2027.

Runway 2.0 is set to continue that tradition, bringing together two fan-favourite concepts while introducing new technology and creative elements on an even bigger scale.
