One of Liverpool’s most loved café/bistros, The Watering Can, is celebrating a breakfast milestone, having served more than 100,000 Full English Breakfasts since opening in Greenbank Park back in 2019.

The much-loved south Liverpool hotspot has built a reputation for quality food, a welcoming atmosphere, and beautiful park-side setting. Since opening, the botanically inspired venue has welcomed breakfast lovers from across the city and beyond, with visitors regularly travelling from South Cheshire, Lancashire, Wirral, Chester and North Wales to enjoy a taste of the venues legendary Breakfast menu.

The star of the show is undoubtedly the Full English Breakfast, featuring award-winning back bacon, pork and leek sausage, Stornoway black pudding, free-range fried egg,Heinz baked beans, hashbrowns, roast tomato, mushroom and artisan bloomer toast.

The Vegetarian and Vegan Breakfasts are also hugely popular, offering delicious alternatives for plant-based diners. For those after a lighter option, the Bacon and EggBarm remains a popular go-to, while the Breakfast Fruit Salad, packed with seasonal fruit, Greek yoghurt, berry compote, almond granola, honey, chopped nuts, and glazed fig, is the café’s top healthy choice.

Known for its commitment to top-quality ingredients and local suppliers, The Watering Can has become a go-to breakfast destination for both locals and visitors alike. It’s also seen its fair share of famous faces over the years, with celebrity guests including Sheridan Smith, Martin Freeman, Conor Bradley, Steven and Alex Gerrard, Helen Flanagan and Liz McClarnon to name a few.

One of the city’s most revered food reviewers, The Scouse Ghetto Gourmet (Jerome Griffin) described The Watering Can’s Full English Breakfast as “One of the best full English breakfasts I have ever had”.

The implementation of a recently installed online booking system means diners can now book ahead and avoid the queues for ease and comfort. Also, by popular demand, following the success on Mother’s Day, The Watering Can team will be introducing a luxury set menu breakfast in the coming weeks, as well as a seasonal menu change, for those who want to spoil themselves or celebrate something special.

Owner Keith Perryman said:

“100,000 full English Breakfasts is a tremendous milestone for The Watering Can.  We welcome regular guests and new guests on a weekly basis and our team are committed to providing the best quality food and service”

With its scenic surroundings and stellar breakfasts, The Watering Can continues to be a leader in Liverpool’s breakfast scene — with no signs of slowing down!
