Strawberry Field emerged as one of the standout success stories at the 2026 Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards, securing two major accolades.
The site was recognised for both its environmental and social impact with the Regenerative Tourism Award, and again for its visitor welcome as Small Visitor Attraction of the Year.
The double win reflects the venue’s commitment to providing an exceptional visitor experience while maintaining a deep focus on community and sustainability.
Natalie Wyatt, Managing Director of Liverpool City Region Destination Partnership, highlighted the importance of these achievements, stating:
“This year’s winners highlight the exceptional talent and commitment powering our visitor economy, creating the people‑centred experiences that make our region stand out.
“Their work strengthens a world‑class destination that drives economic growth, supports jobs and keeps the Liverpool City Region thriving.”
A Landmark Night for Cultural and Heritage Tourism
The success of Strawberry Field was mirrored by other iconic Beatles-related sites, with The Beatles Story reinforcing its reputation as a global cultural destination by securing both Large Visitor Attraction of the Year and the International Tourism Award.
The ceremony also spotlighted Southport’s growing reputation, with The Bold Hotel and Sunnyside Guest House claiming top honours in the accommodation categories.
As a double winner, Strawberry Field demonstrates the region’s rising standards and ambition.
The awards ceremony, hosted by BBC Radio Merseyside’s Kevin Duala, honoured the individuals and organisations whose work welcomed thousands of visitors over the past year.
By balancing its global cultural legacy with regenerative practices, Strawberry Field remains a vital contributor to a visitor economy that prioritises consistency, innovation, and high-quality service.
