One of Liverpool’s most iconic landmarks has been transformed into a film set as production gets underway for the brand-new ITV drama series SAVIOUR.
Filming recently took place at St George’s Hall, where cast and crew were spotted shooting scenes for the upcoming six-part legal thriller. Our team captured exclusive images from the set as the historic venue played host to the production.

Liverpool’s famous landmark becomes a TV set
With its grand neoclassical architecture and impressive interiors, St George’s Hall has long been a favourite filming location for major film and television productions.
For SAVIOUR, the building appears to double as part of the courtroom setting central to the series’ storyline. Production crews, equipment and extras were seen around the hall as filming took place outside the landmark.

A gripping courtroom thriller
SAVIOUR is a new ITV drama created by criminal barrister and novelist Imran Mahmood. The series follows Ben, a young man whose life is turned upside down after a case of mistaken identity leads to a deadly incident, sparking a complex legal battle.
The show features a strong cast including Anjli Mohindra, Shaun Parkes and Aidan Gillen, best known for his roles in Game of Thrones and Peaky Blinders.
The six-part series promises to deliver a tense exploration of justice, family loyalty and the truth behind a devastating event.

Liverpool continues to attract major productions
Liverpool has become one of the UK’s most popular filming destinations in recent years, thanks to its diverse architecture and experienced production crews.
From Hollywood blockbusters to major TV dramas, the city regularly doubles for locations around the world. Productions such as The Responder, Time, and the upcoming Peaky Blinders film have all used Liverpool locations.
With SAVIOUR now filming at St George’s Hall and across the city, Liverpool once again proves why it remains one of the country’s most in-demand filming destinations.
The series is expected to air on ITV and ITVX once production is complete.
