Film crews were spotted around St George’s Hall overnight as filming reportedly took place inside the nearby Queensway Tunnel for the upcoming The Batman Part II.
Production vehicles, lighting equipment and crew members were seen gathered outside St George’s Hall late into the evening, while filming activity was understood to be taking place within the Queensway Tunnel (Birkenhead Tunnel). The area drew attention from passers-by as Liverpool once again became the backdrop for a major Hollywood production.


While details surrounding the scenes remain tightly under wraps, the dramatic setting of the Queensway Tunnel would fit perfectly with the dark and atmospheric style associated with Gotham City. Liverpool has become a popular filming location for blockbuster productions in recent years thanks to its unique architecture and cinematic locations.
Robert Pattinson is set to return as Bruce Wayne in the sequel to 2022’s The Batman, with Matt Reeves once again directing the highly anticipated follow-up.


The sight of large-scale film crews and production vehicles outside one of Liverpool’s most recognisable landmarks has already sparked excitement among fans, with many eager to catch a glimpse of the latest Hollywood project filming in the city.
By Thursday morning, all filming crews, production vehicles and equipment had cleared from the area.
