Liverpool’s second annual Restaurant Week saw a significant boost in engagement, with food lovers downloading over £271,000 worth of offers—an increase of £34,000 compared to last year. The nine-day culinary celebration, which concluded on Sunday, 18 May, featured exclusive food and drink deals across the city.
This year, 100 venues participated in the event, up from 75 in its inaugural edition in 2024. Organised by Liverpool BID Company, each participating restaurant and bar created bespoke offers priced between £5 and £35. A total of 14,456 offers were downloaded—650 more than last year—while city centre footfall rose by 8% compared to the same week in 2024.

Notably, 60% of Restaurant Week attendees visited three or more venues, showing strong interest in exploring multiple local eateries.
Food and drink contribute 36.7% to Liverpool city centre’s economy, according to Liverpool BID Company data from April 2025. Insights from Beuclair’s latest sales report reveal a 4.1% year-on-year increase in spending on food and drink in the city.
Launched in 2024, Liverpool Restaurant Week was created to shine a spotlight on the city’s vibrant hospitality sector during what is typically a quieter time of year.

Bill Addy is CEO of Liverpool BID Company, said:
“It is heartening to see Liverpool Restaurant Week is growing year on year. Our hospitality venues are not a ‘nice to have”, they are a crucial and critical ingredient of our city’s economy, and a vital part of our thriving visitor economy. This is why, when they are facing such a challenging economic outlook, we work together to enable them to tell their stories, to raise their profile and we can sell the incredible food and drink offer to people from Liverpool and beyond. It is heartening to see diners enthusiastically taking up these offers and exploring what the city has, from successful independent venues to vibrant chains.”
Gaucho emerged as the most downloaded offer of the week and was voted Liverpool’s favourite participating venue in a survey by Liverpool BID Company.
Mark Sansom, Marketing Director at Gaucho, commented:
“We are thrilled to have been the most downloaded offer and to have been voted as Liverpool’s favourite venue taking part in Liverpool Restaurant Week. It’s a true testament to the dedication and passion of our team, and we hope Gaucho is now a firm favourite amongst all the guests who joined us throughout the week. We’re proud to be a part of such a vibrant food scene in Liverpool, and we look forward to continuing to offer memorable dining experiences for all our guests.”
Kier Smith, Sales Manager at Albert Schloss, shared:
“We saw a significant surge in midweek bookings thanks to the special offer, with around a 75% increase compared to last year’s LRW. It was wonderful to welcome so many new customers through our doors. A big thank you to the BID for launching Restaurant Week — it truly provides a much-needed boost to business during a quieter period. It’s a brilliant initiative that benefits everyone who takes part. We can’t wait for next year already!”
Lucas Pires, co-owner of Queens Wine Bar & Bistro, added:
“‘Liverpool Restaurant Week was a success for us, and it is amazing to see it grow year on year. Bring on 2026!”
