In series three – edition one of our Faces of Liverpool series we caught up with Mark Myers, aged 35 from South Liverpool; a maintenance worker.
What do you love about Liverpool?
The history and culture of the city.
Name one main thing about living in Liverpool that makes you proud?
The support, togetherness and unity people have for each other.
If you could describe Liverpool in 3 words what would they be?
Vibrant, friendly, picturesque.
Name one place in Liverpool that holds a special place in your heart?
Anfield stadium of course.
Is there anything on your ‘Bucket List’ to do in Liverpool that your still yet to achieve?
Visit the the Anglican cathedral and go to the top of it and see the amazing views.
Do you have any tales of Liverpool or claim to fame while in the city?
I bumped into Sami hyypia (ex liverpool player) in town by concert square after his very last game for liverpool, he jumped in the back of my car banged his head getting in and we went for a drive around the city centre, me my friend and his friend! How random! We had a laugh!
Mark runs a community interest group called Fishing The Mind which supports people struggling with mental health through the power of fishing.
