In series three – edition one of our Faces of Liverpool series we caught up with Bethan Flanagan, aged 30 from Everton; a Fashion Upcycler.
What do you love about Liverpool?
There’s never a boring day, there’s always something to do, watch or listen too. Theres amazing pubs, historic tales and cultural wonders around every corner… You can even go to the History making Philharmonic Pub which has all of the above!
Name one main thing about living in Liverpool that makes you proud?
The community spirit! Everyone is always willing to help each-other. The charity work around the city to help people in need always makes me proud to be a scouser.
If you could describe Liverpool in 3 words what would they be?
Best city ever!
Name one place in Liverpool that holds a special place in your heart?
This is a hard one… I would say Seel Street as it holds many fond memories from my late teens and early twenties.
Is there anything on your ‘Bucket List’ to do in Liverpool that your still yet to achieve?
I still haven’t gone up to the top of the Anglican Cathedral or done the Mersey Tunnels Tour – I would like to do both of those to see Liverpool from above and underneath!
Do you have any tales of Liverpool or any claim to fame while in the city?
Ive worked for a local casting agency and appeared (very briefly) as an extra in a film called Little Joe and a Gaviscon advert (random, i know!)
