Summer 2026 is set to be a roarsome one at World Museum, as dinosaurs take over every Wednesday and Thursday throughout the school holidays.
A packed programme of interactive activities, hands-on crafts, storytelling and dinosaur magic will bring the prehistoric world to life for visitors of all ages.
Families can meet life-like dinosaur puppets of all shapes and sizes as they roam through the museum, from giant prehistoric creatures to adorable baby dinos. There will also be storytelling sessions, meet and greets, craft workshops and sensory play for under-fives.
Visitors will also have the chance to meet museum experts and discover more about the creatures that once ruled the Earth, with special sessions exploring what life was like for dinosaurs and other ancient animals.
World Museum will also host a relaxed after-hours session for children and families with neurodiverse conditions or additional needs, offering a more accessible way to enjoy the programme.
The summer activities coincide with the reopening of World Museum’s Wild World: Dinosaurs and Natural History gallery on the fourth floor. Visitors can come face to face with full-size replica dinosaur skeletons including Allosaurus and Neovenator, while also exploring Liverpool’s ancient mudflats and learning more about the animals that call threatened polar regions and dense forests home.
Some events will require pre-booking. Visitors can explore the full summer programme and book tickets here.
