A new permanent Titanic exhibition featuring more than 250 Titanic and White Star Line artefacts is set to open in Liverpool in January 2027.
The Titanic Exhibition Liverpool will open at the White Star Line Hotel on James Street on Saturday, 2 January 2027, bringing together historic artefacts, personal stories and items connected to the famous ocean liner and the White Star Line.
The exhibition will be housed inside Albion House, the former headquarters of the White Star Line and one of Liverpool’s most significant maritime buildings.
The Grade II* listed building was completed between 1896 and 1898 for the White Star Line and has a major connection to the history of Titanic.
More than 250 Titanic and White Star Line artefacts
Visitors will be able to explore a permanent collection of more than 250 items, with some artefacts set to go on public display for the first time.
Among the collection will be a first-class Titanic passenger list, letters and postcards written by passengers, along with original artefacts connected to the ship, its passengers and crew.
Items recovered from the Titanic wreck site will also form part of the exhibition, including original deck wood, coal and pieces of the hull connected to the famous ‘Big Piece’.
The exhibition will also explore the discovery and subsequent exploration of Titanic’s wreck, with footage from the wreck site, deep-sea exploration equipment and a detailed scale model showing the ship’s resting place on the seabed.
Deep-sea explorer Dik Barton, who has completed numerous dives to the Titanic wreck, is also involved in the project, with his dive suit and exploration equipment among the items due to go on display.

There will also be something for fans of James Cameron’s 1997 blockbuster Titanic.
The exhibition will feature the original screen-used violin played by Jonathan Evans-Jones, who portrayed Titanic bandmaster Wallace Hartley in the film.
Other major items in the collection include an original restored balustrade from the grand staircase of Titanic’s sister ship Olympic and the ship’s original Steinway piano.
As well as exploring the exhibition, visitors will have the opportunity to discover more of Albion House and its links to the White Star Line, with guided tours of the historic building also available.
When does The Titanic Exhibition Liverpool open?
The Titanic Exhibition Liverpool will officially open on Saturday, 2 January 2027 at the White Star Line Hotel, 30 James Street.
It will open seven days a week, except Christmas Day, with hourly booking slots available between 9am and 6pm. Each time slot will be limited to a maximum of 60 visitors, while items within the exhibition are expected to be rotated over time.
A number of Titanic experts and special guests are also expected to visit during the first three months of the exhibition between January and March 2027.

Early bird tickets are available to book online from 1 September until 31 December 2026.
Early bird prices are:
- Adults: £13.50
- Children aged 5-13: £9.75
- OAP: £11.25
- Family ticket for two adults and two children: £39.50
Early bird ticket holders will also receive 20% off food and drink in the hotel’s Grand Hall and Quarter Deck, as well as a discount on a 12-month British Titanic Society subscription.
Advanced online prices after the early bird offer will be £18 for adults, £13 for children aged 5-13, £15 for over-60s and £49.99 for a family ticket.
