Everton Men’s first team manager David Moyes helped Everton in the Community celebrate the people at the core of its life-changing work as the Club’s official charity hosted this year’s Blue Heart Awards.
The sparkling ceremony took place at BOXPARK Liverpool and honoured participants, volunteers and fundraisers from across EitC’s 60+ programmes and initiatives.
Hosted by Guilia Bould, the evening began with a performance from the Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and a special dance recital from The Trinity Catholic Primary School, which is one of the charity’s partner schools.
Among the more than 200 guests in attendance was the CEO of Everton Football Club, Angus Kinnear and David Moyes, who handed out prizes in the first six categories.
Recognising the Trinity Project

The awards presented by Moyes included the Learns Award, Minds Award and Thrives Award, which represent the three pillars of EitC’s Trinity Project. Reflecting on the impact of the charity during the event, David Moyes said:
“One of the things Everton was always really famous for was the work done in the community.
“Even years ago, the work done was so good and, when I see it now, it’s enhanced greatly.
“A big thank you to all of the workers and everyone who puts the time in to make it so good.”
Angus Kinnear presented the Special Achievement Award to two winners, Sam and DJ.
Key strategic partners also presented accolades, with the Steve Morgan Foundation Award going to Charlotte and the Merseyside Police Award presented to Ethan by DCS Mark Drew.
Additionally, the Premier League Foundation Award was presented to Ally by CEO Alex White.
Historic CEO Awards

The night culminated with the CEO Award, where, for the first time ever, two winners were chosen by EitC Chief Executive Officer Sue Gregory.
The first winner, Maisie, was recognised for her journey from struggling with socialising and school attendance to applying for college and appearing on Match of the Day after engaging with the Safe Hands programme.
The second CEO Award was presented to EitC’s Street Child World Cup team.
These girls, from the charity’s She Inspires programme, will soon represent England in Mexico City.
Their journey has been supported by Everton Women stars Courtney Brosnan and Katja Snoeijs.
Everton in the Community has been changing lives across the L4 community and the wider Liverpool City Region since 1988.
The Blue Heart Awards serve as an annual reminder of the vital work carried out by the charity and the dedicated individuals who support its mission.
