A final call has gone out to encourage nominations for the inaugural Southport Business Awards 2026.
Launched recently, the new awards will celebrate local talent, innovation, and the achievements of Southport’s business community.
Organisers are keen to shine a light on all that is positive across all sectors of the town’s business community; recognising growth; and providing a platform to celebrate success stories.
Businesses of any size can get involved – from sole traders and independent shops, to family run businesses and national brands.
The awards are free to enter.
Full details are available here.
The 16 awards categories have been specifically chosen to be inclusive across all business sectors.
All businesses within the Southport area are invited to get involved – including multi-generational family enterprises; retailers; cosy cafes; enticing chip shops; bold start-ups; talented tradespeople; creative professionals; alongside franchises and national brands who make a positive impact locally.
The awards are open to any Southport-based business, or any business which predominantly provides services to residents of the town and the local community.
Southport Business Awards are the brainchild of Fiona McGregor from social media marketing agency One Media Solutions, and Dan Charles from the Seen In Southport podcast.
Through their collective work in the town, many businesses telling their stories on the podcast asked for other ways to showcase what they do, and how to champion expertise and success.
Victoria Park Gala Dinner and Independent Judging Panels

The winners will be announced at a celebratory awards dinner taking place on Friday 21 August 2026.
The event will take place in the Summer Pavillion, located within Victoria Park during the spectacular Southport Flower Show.
Tickets for Southport Business Awards 2026 go on sale next week.
Tickets are priced at £110 which includes a three-course meal, networking opportunities, and live entertainment.
Fiona McGregor from One Media Solutions explained:
“We’re very excited about the inaugural Southport Business Awards 2026.
“We’ve been inspired by the nominations we’ve already received, and this is the last chance to enter.
“Southport has faced incredibly tough challenges, but it has shown real strength and resilience by coming together, community is what the town is all about, we have that in abundance.
“We’ve really grown as a town and we want to shine a light on the business community who have continued to pull together to support the town’s residents.
“We work here, we live here, we love Southport, and we strive to celebrate the vibrant spirit of our town.
“We want you to nominate your favourite businesses and individuals who you think need to be recognised for their brilliant customer service, innovative business ventures, and excellent achievements.
“Businesses are also encouraged to put themselves forward. Entrepreneurs, tradespeople, and visionaries all play their part to make Southport thrive.
“Southport Business Awards will celebrate excellence, community, and local impact.
“This is where Southport’s best take centre stage, where passion meets pride.
“Join us in celebrating what we cherish most, the unbreakable bond of our local community.”
Corporate Sponsorship Portfolios and Commercial Opportunities
In addition to ticket sales for the summer banquet, regional brands can access tailored sponsorship opportunities to elevate their corporate profile across Sefton and West Lancashire.
Partnering with the event allows established enterprises to realign themselves with civic resilience, while directly funding the infrastructure required to scale this brand new celebratory platform.
Selected packages feature prominent brand placement within the main pavilion layout and ongoing digital recognition throughout the autumn economic cycle.
