Liverpool FC’s Champions League trophy will be among the star attractions at this year’s Southport Flower Show as the LFC Foundation brings four days of activities, giveaways and special experiences to Victoria Park.

The club’s official charity will attend throughout the show, which takes place from Thursday, August 20 to Sunday, August 23, with an interactive programme designed for visitors of all ages.

One of the biggest draws is expected to be the opportunity for fans to have their photograph taken with the iconic UEFA Champions League trophy.

Visitors will also be able to see a striking 8ft LFC Foundation flowerpot installation, pick up free LFC Foundation seed packets and enter prize draws for Liverpool FC memorabilia and mystery boxes.

Sports activities including golf and tennis will take place on Thursday and Friday, August 20 and 21.

The Foundation will also use its presence at the event to highlight its work tackling social inequalities and creating opportunities for people across the Liverpool City Region and beyond.

Its programmes aim to improve health, learning and employability, supporting people of all ages and backgrounds to reach their potential.

The LFC Foundation previously appeared at Southport Flower Show in 2023, when it created a dedicated show garden to raise awareness around mental health.

More than 50,000 visitors are expected at the 2026 Southport Flower Show, the UK’s largest independent flower show.

The annual event will transform Southport’s 34-acre Victoria Park with show gardens, floral displays, celebrity appearances, live entertainment, family activities, food and drink and shopping.

Matt Parish, Chief Executive at the LFC Foundation, commented:

“We are proud to be returning to Southport Flower Show and playing our part in making this fantastic event even more special.

“Supporting our communities is at the heart of what we do, and we’re looking forward to welcoming families to join in, have fun, and to learn more about how they can get involved with the work of the Foundation.”

Special guests this year include Anton Du Beke, Iolo Williams, Megan McCubbin, Su Pollard, Rob Rinder and Mr Motivator.

Garden personalities Adam Frost, Arit Anderson, Joe Swift and Lee Burkhill will also appear, alongside television chefs Phil Vickery, Briony May Williams and Candice Brown, and children’s entertainers Andy Day and Justin Fletcher.

The programme includes celebrity Q&A sessions in the Garden Theatre hosted by BBC Radio Merseyside’s Kevin Duala, demonstrations in the Cookery Theatre, live music on the Piazza Stage and entertainment in the outdoor show arena.

Alan Adams, General Manager of Southport Flower Show, added:

“We are delighted to welcome back the LFC Foundation to Southport Flower Show. The charity’s presence brings a fantastic interactive element to the event, offering unique visitor experiences for all ages – while highlighting its incredible work within communities across the region.

“We’re looking forward to working with the team once again, and we most certainly know their exhibition will be very popular. Seeing people’s genuine excitement when they have their photograph taken with a world-famous football trophy will be a real spectacle.”

Popular family attractions including alpacas, a children’s trail, doodle wall, children’s yoga and tennis skills will return, while Lakeside Reset will make its debut as a new wellbeing and mindfulness zone.

Horticultural attractions will include award-winning show gardens, the Grand Floral Marquee, amateur growers and plant societies, floral art, raised bed displays, the Bees and Honey Marquee and displays from schools and charities.

Southport Flower Show runs from 10am to 6pm from Thursday to Saturday and from 10am to 5pm on Sunday.

Early bird tickets remain available until Wednesday, August 19 and can be used on any one of the four show days. Children under 16 can attend free when accompanied by a paying adult.

Residents living in PR8 and PR9 postcodes can purchase discounted £20 tickets.

Southport Flower Show is a registered charity, with profits reinvested into the year-round maintenance of Victoria Park.

Full details can be found on the website.
