Wine lovers and comedy fans are being invited to experience something a little different as An Idiot’s Guide To Wine arrives in Liverpool.
The smash-hit show combines live stand-up comedy with a wine tasting experience, giving audiences the chance to enjoy an evening of laughs while sampling six different wine varieties from around the world.
Taking place at Scale Liverpool, the experience promises to offer a unique night out for anyone looking to try something new, whether they are a wine expert or simply someone who enjoys a good glass of wine and a few jokes.
A comedy show with a twist
Created by Australian comedian Merrick Watts, An Idiot’s Guide To Wine brings together his passion for comedy and his knowledge of wine, with Watts holding a Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Level 3 qualification.
Rather than a traditional wine tasting, the show combines education and entertainment, allowing guests to discover more about different wines while enjoying a stand-up performance.
Audiences will be guided through six different wine varieties during the show, learning about their flavours, origins and characteristics along the way.
The result is an evening that blends humour and tasting into one experience leading to a smile on your face.
A Liverpool night out for all
The show has been designed for anyone looking for a relaxed and entertaining night out.
Guests do not need to be wine experts to enjoy the experience, with the event aimed at complete beginners as well as those who already know their reds from their whites.
Alongside the comedy, the tasting element provides an opportunity to explore different flavours in a fun and informal environment.
An Idiot’s Guide To Wine is taking place at Scale Liverpool, with selected dates and times available when booking tickets, which are available here.
Alcohol consumption is optional, with non-alcoholic alternatives available for guests who would prefer not to drink.
Combining comedy and wine, the event is something you’re not going to want to miss out on.
