Chick-fil-A has officially opened its new Liverpool restaurant on Lord Street, marking the American fast-food brand’s third locally owned and operated location in the UK.
The restaurant opened its doors today, Thursday 27 August, at 85 Lord Street in Liverpool city centre.
The new venue serves Chick-fil-A’s Original Chicken Sandwich, made with whole boneless chicken breast and hand-breaded throughout the day, alongside grilled chicken options, freshly prepared salads, milkshakes and the brand’s signature hand-squeezed lemonade.
Liverpool local David Pritchard is the owner-operator of the new restaurant and will oversee its day-to-day operations, including recruiting local team members and developing partnerships with charities and organisations across the city.
The opening follows the announcement of a long-term partnership between the Liverpool restaurant and local charity Opening Doors Project.
Through Chick-fil-A’s Shared Table programme, surplus food from the restaurant will be donated to the charity to help support people experiencing food insecurity across Liverpool.
Chick-fil-A has also donated £25,000 to Opening Doors Project as part of the launch of its new Liverpool restaurant.
David Pritchard said previously that he was looking forward to becoming part of the local community and creating opportunities for people in the city.
The Lord Street restaurant will open from 10am until 10pm from Monday to Saturday.
As with all Chick-fil-A restaurants, it will be closed on Sundays, continuing a tradition introduced by company founder Truett Cathy.
The Liverpool opening forms part of Chick-fil-A’s wider expansion into the UK.
The company opened its first locally owned UK restaurant in Leeds in 2025 and has committed to opening five restaurants across the country during its first two years of expansion.
Chick-fil-A has also said it plans to invest more than $100 million in the UK over the next decade.
Founded in 1967, Chick-fil-A operates more than 3,000 restaurants across the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, the United Kingdom and Singapore.
