New Mediterranean restaurant Casa Roni opens in Kirkby town centre

A new Mediterranean restaurant has officially opened its doors in Kirkby town centre.

Casa Roni has opened at 24 Newtown Gardens in the heart of the town centre, bringing a new food and drink destination to Kirkby.

The restaurant has transformed a previously vacant unit, with large bi-fold doors installed across the frontage to create a bright and contemporary space for customers to meet, eat, drink and socialise.

Casa Roni’s menu features a range of Mediterranean-inspired dishes, including pasta, risotto, wood-fired pizzas, meat and fish, alongside an extensive drinks menu.

The restaurant is also offering a weekday lunchtime deal, with two courses available for £16.50 from Monday to Friday between 12pm and 4pm.

Casa Roni is owned by restaurateur Baris Coskuncay, who is behind several popular restaurants including Casa Rima in Halewood.

Its arrival is the latest development in Kirkby town centre, with a number of other new businesses and leisure attractions also progressing.

Lidl is building its first supermarket in Kirkby on Telegraph Way, while new family attraction Monkey Town and a padel leisure offer are also in the pipeline.

Baris Coskuncay, owner of Casa Roni, said:

“I’m delighted with what we’ve created here in Kirkby, thanks to the support from Knowsley Council, and I’m looking forward to welcoming people through my doors now that we are officially open.

“Whether is great food you’re after, a catch up with a friend or a celebration, please do pop in and see what we’ve created.”

Cllr Tony Brennan, Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Economic Development, added:

“I was delighted to go and have a sneak peek today at Casa Roni. What Baris has achieved is truly remarkable and it will be a very welcome addition to Kirkby.

“We know from our engagement with residents that there is a real appetite for a food and drink offer in the town, as well as a stronger night-time economy, so I really wish Baris and his team the very best of luck with his new venture.”

Customers can find out more about Casa Roni, view the restaurant’s offering and book a table through the Casa Roni website.
