In June Birkenhead Park will host a massive two-day wellness festival! The Wirral Wellness Festival returns on June 15 and 16 after the success of its first event last year. It will include professional speakers, live fitness classes, food trucks, live music and DJs, 100+ market stalls, a kid-friendly fair and fitness activities, support for self-development, mental health, and more!
Sponsored by Win Win Water & Supreme CBD, this year’s two-day extravaganza involves over 100 businesses and practitioners in partnership with Wirral Borough Council, Birkenhead Park, which recently achieved Heritage Status, and Wirral Mind Charity.
There is plenty to do and something for everyone, from live music and motivational speakers to taster classes including yoga, breathwork, kettlebell workouts, HIIT, fitness challenges, and somatic dancing taught by Merseryside’s best fitness instructors.
Thousands of people are expected to attend the largest of its kind to be held in Wirral, the festival, which is taking place on Father’s Day weekend and focuses on men’s mental health and the ethos of wellness, health, community, and connection. With so much to offer over the weekend, its goal is to unite people to promote both physical and mental health.
The festival is all about nourishing the body, trying something new, and connecting with yourself and others, with everything from a large market to browse to wholesome food trucks to wellness treatments and therapies. Youngsters under 12 go free, and day passes cost just £12.50, or £20 for the weekend. Eventbrite pre-ordered tickets include a complimentary three-month membership to Martin Bone’s meditation app.
Co-Organiser Ellie Ferguson said:
“Last year’s inaugural event was a great success but this year’s full two day festival is going to be even bigger and better with so many wonderful practitioners and businesses involved. It’s by far the biggest event of its kind to be hosted in Wirral and it’s something that’s so needed in today’s society.”
“We’re living in a world where mental health issues are on the rise, so through our festival we invite people to re-focus on wellness and come together to promote it. Birkenhead Park as an aspiring world heritage site is a beautiful setting for it and it’s going to be a fun-filled weekend of goodness for all the family. We really excited for it!”
The Wirral Wellness Festival adheres to a strict alcohol-free policy, fostering a sober, safe, and inclusive environment. The official radio partner, Dune Radio, will be broadcasting live from the festival in what promises to be a wellness extravaganza like no other in the stunning Birkenhead Park.
Co-Organiser Becky Jones, who will be hosting a live yoga class said:
“This kind of thing is so needed and we encourage anyone from all walks of life to come and get involved — whether you’re an 8-year-old or an 80-year-old there’s something fun and nourishing on offer for you. We encourage families to join us for Father’s Day to spend quality time with the family. We can’t wait to welcome you all!”
