Southport town centre will come alive this September with the launch of Coastal Jam, a brand-new two-day music festival set to deliver an unmissable weekend of live entertainment, local talent, and family-friendly fun.
Taking place on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th September, Coastal Jam will transform the town into a vibrant stage, with performances popping up across a range of iconic locations.

Kicking off on Saturday afternoon, music lovers can enjoy a curated mix of live performances in venues such as Wayfarers Arcade, the Lord Street Bandstand, and throughout a growing list of over 20 pubs, bars, and music venues across the town centre.
On Sunday, the festival shifts to Town Hall Gardens, where families can enjoy a full day of entertainment from 11am to 6pm. The programme includes children’s entertainers, all-ages live music, and interactive activities hosted by The Atkinson, all with a musical twist.
A full line-up of artists and performers will be revealed soon.
Rachel Fitzgerald, Southport BID CEO said:
“We’re delighted to launch the first ever Coastal Jam event in Southport.
“Music is such an integral part of the wider culture and tourism offer of the Liverpool City Region. This event will be a celebration of everything that Southport has offer.
“Coastal Jam is the perfect opportunity for visitors, families, and people of all ages to visit Southport for the weekend.
“Some of the Southport’s most iconic spaces will come alive with one-of-a-kind performances. The spotlight will also be on the bars and venues that drive our thriving live music scene.”
Southport’s first Coastal Jam festival is organised by Southport BID and Sefton Council with the support of town centre businesses.
Branding for the new festival has been imagined by Southport-based Liam Jackson Graphics.
