Liverpool soul legends The Real Thing are heading to The Brindley Theatre this summer as they celebrate an incredible 50 years in the music industry.
Taking place on Wednesday 22 July, the special show will see original vocalists Chris Amoo and Dave Smith joined by their live five-piece band for a night packed with timeless hits and feel-good energy.
A 50-Year Legacy of Soul Classics
Formed in 1972, The Real Thing have carved out a unique place in British music history, widely recognised as the UK’s longest-established black group.
Their influence on soul, funk and dance music continues to resonate decades later, with a catalogue that helped define an era.
The group achieved major chart success throughout the 1970s and 1980s, scoring three million-selling number one singles, including You to Me Are Everything, Can’t Get by Without You, and Can You Feel the Force.
These tracks remain staples on dancefloors and radio playlists to this day, cementing their status as true icons of the genre.
