Liverpool’s food scene has welcomed a new addition as Bunzai has officially opened its doors in the heart of the city centre, bringing a fresh take on smash burgers with bold Asian-inspired flavours.
Located on Berry Street, the new restaurant has transformed the former burger site into a modern casual dining spot, offering a menu packed with signature burgers, crispy chicken, loaded fries, wings and indulgent desserts.
The opening follows months of anticipation after the venue was first announced earlier this year.
Signature burgers packed with flavour

The star of the menu is Bunzai’s Signature Burger, which combines two smashed beef patties with a spicy dipped chicken fillet, grilled onions, lettuce, tomato and the restaurant’s own house sauces.
Burger lovers can also choose from five different smash burger options, including:
- Mashed Classic with American cheese, lettuce, tomato and house sauce
- Mushroom Melt topped with grilled mushrooms and mushroom sauce
- Cheese Crazy, loaded with both American cheese and hot cheese sauce
- Smoky BBQ, featuring turkey rashers and smoky barbecue sauce
- Fiery Smash, finished with jalapeños and spicy sauce for those who like extra heat.
Chicken lovers are also in for a treat, with spicy dipped chicken burgers, barbecue chicken burgers and a selection of crispy wings available alongside every burger.
Loaded fries, shakes and sweet treats complete the menu
Alongside the burgers, customers can order loaded fries, sides and sharing boxes, making Bunzai suitable for everything from a quick lunch to a group meal.
To finish, the restaurant serves a range of thick milkshakes, waffles, cakes and desserts, adding to what is already an indulgent menu.
Situated on Berry Street, Bunzai joins one of Liverpool’s most popular food hotspots, alongside a growing collection of independent restaurants and takeaways.
With generous portions and loaded burgers, the restaurant is calling your name to get stuck into some fancy asian styled food.
