The Lake House Waterloo has been officially recognised as one of the UK’s top wedding venues, following its success in the Hitched Wedding Awards 2026.
Organised by Hitched, one of the country’s leading wedding planning platforms, the annual awards celebrate excellence across the UK wedding industry. Categories span everything from venues and photographers to catering, décor, entertainment and more, with winners chosen entirely by couples themselves.
The Lake House was one of just five venues across Merseyside to receive the accolade, cementing its reputation as one of the region’s most sought-after wedding destinations. Set on the edge of Crosby Marine Lake, the venue offers a truly picturesque waterfront backdrop, perfect for weddings of all styles and sizes.

The award follows a standout year for the venue, with weddings increasing by an impressive 51% in 2025 compared to 2023/24. Its flexible spaces and stunning waterside setting have made it an increasingly popular choice for couples looking to say ‘I do’ somewhere truly special.
The Hitched Wedding Awards are regarded as one of the most transparent and meaningful honours in the wedding industry. Winners are selected solely on verified reviews from recently married couples, with more than 45,000 genuine reviews analysed across 31,000+ suppliers during 2025.
To qualify, venues were required to have a minimum of seven reviews and an average rating of 4.75 out of 5 between 1 January and 31 December 2025, making the recognition a true reflection of consistent quality, exceptional service and trusted reputation.
This latest accolade further strengthens The Lake House Waterloo’s position as one of the UK’s most loved and highly rated wedding venues, celebrated for its setting, hospitality and unforgettable wedding experiences.
