Southport Market will welcome dozens of independent traders this weekend as the popular Southport Artisan Market returns to the town.
Organised by award-winning market operator Independent Street, the event takes place on Saturday, 3 October, bringing together makers, bakers, artists, food producers and other small businesses from across the region.
Visitors will be able to browse a wide selection of stalls selling everything from cakes and artisan food to jewellery, artwork, accessories, handmade gifts, homeware and seasonal treats.
There will also be entertainment throughout the day, including live music from Jack Hamilton and a free children’s arts workshop with Mila.
Lisa Cowley, owner and founder of Independent Street, said the Southport events continue to provide an important showcase for small businesses.
“We absolutely love coming to Southport and we’re really looking forward to being back this Saturday.
“We’ve got another brilliant mix of independent businesses joining us, and that’s what makes these markets so special. Behind every stall is a real person who has created, baked, designed or built something they are incredibly passionate about.
“We want people to come down, enjoy the live music, let the children get creative at our free workshop, have some delicious food and discover some fantastic independent businesses.

The trader line-up features more than 40 businesses, including All About the Rolls, Apothecary of Flames, Art@53, Beautiful Bookbands by Hannah, Cheshire Permanent Jewellery, Jessica Bakes-Well, Little Brock Botanics, Magpie Moments Jewellery, Pudding and Pie North West, Riverside Spirits, Sea Jewels, Skellie’s Pumpkin Patch, The Lifeboat Bakery, The Salford Rum Company and Kick Ass Cheese.
RSPCA Southport, Ormskirk & District Branch and Scarisbrick Hall School are also among those due to attend.
The Southport event is part of Independent Street’s wider programme of artisan markets across the North West and Midlands, which aims to provide independent traders with a platform while bringing community-focused events to towns and cities.
