With Valentine’s Day fast approaching we are reminded ever so eloquently by another famous Liverpool institution in the form of the fab four, that ‘love is all you need’. In a city as beautiful as Liverpool there are many scenic places you could choose to make the most romantic of gestures but none quite as iconic as The Royal Liver Building.
Now operators of RLB360, the new tour and experience of the Royal Liver Building, say they have seen over 30 proposals since the doors to the attraction opened for the first time last year. And it seems like this number is to continue to grow this valentines with more rumoured to be planning rooftop proposals.

We’ve witnessed over 30 people popping the question since we opened the tour to the top of the building last year and more and more are now making enquiries. We’re expecting a busy Valentine’s period at the most iconic building in the city.”
The first proposal, between childhood sweethearts Lauren Holloway and Jake Dawson in August 2019, went down in Liverpool history as the first couple to get engaged at the top of the Liver Building since opening to public tours.
“I don’t know who was more shocked, me or the tour guide. I burst into tears, it was absolutely amazing,” said Lauren Holloway.
