This Halloween, Friday 31 October, Royal Albert Dock Liverpool will come alive with eerie energy as it unveils The Albert Hartley, a ghostly legend brought to life through a haunting short projection on the back of the Maritime Museum.
Best viewed from the inner quay between 5pm and 9pm, the 20-second animation tells the tale of The Albert Hartley, a magnificent vessel once commanded by Captain Salthouse before it was lost to a fierce storm at sea.

Legend has it that each Halloween night, the captain and his ghostly crew return to the dock in search of their lost ship, and this year, visitors may just come face-to-face with them as they roam the waterfront.
The ghostly spectacle marks the launch of Dock Shorts, a brand-new projection series that will transform the dock through dynamic, light-based storytelling, with more details to be revealed soon.

For those looking to make a night of it, the dock’s bars and restaurants are also getting into the spirit. The One O’Clock Gun will host an evening of Halloween fun, serving delicious food and seasonal drinks to the backdrop of live music. Revolution will be turning up the fright factor with its House of Horror party night, complete with themed décor, cocktails and DJs until late, while Revolución de Cuba invites guests to celebrate in true Latin style with its vibrant Day of the Dead festivities.
Whether you’re chasing chills, cocktails, or a little of both, Royal Albert Dock Liverpool is the perfect place to celebrate Halloween by the water.
