Red Devils parachute team to perform at Southport Flower Show 2026

The world-famous Red Devils Parachute Display Team will take to the skies above Southport as part of this year’s Southport Flower Show.

The British Army’s official parachute display team will perform on the opening day of the four-day event at Victoria Park on Thursday 20 August, with the display scheduled to begin at 12pm.

Weather permitting, visitors will be able to watch members of the Red Devils descend into Victoria Park and land on a designated area next to the Southport Flower Show showground.

Following the display, members of the team will remain at the event for around two hours, giving visitors the chance to meet the parachutists, ask questions and take photographs.

Gates open at 10am and organisers are encouraging visitors hoping to watch the display to arrive early.

Alan Adams, General Manager of Southport Flower Show, commented:

“We are thrilled to welcome the Red Devils to this year’s Southport Flower Show. Their aerial display will be a fantastic spectacle and an exciting addition to our entertainment programme.

“Scheduling the display at midday means even more visitors will be able to enjoy this incredible experience, and we’re looking forward to welcoming families and aviation enthusiasts alike to witness one of the UK’s premier parachute display teams in action.”

The Red Devils have represented the British Army since 1964 and regularly perform at major events across the UK and overseas, showcasing precision parachuting, teamwork and aerial skills.

Their appearance is the latest addition to a packed programme planned for Southport Flower Show 2026, which takes place from Thursday 20 August to Sunday 23 August.

The annual event will once again transform the town’s 34-acre Victoria Park with gardens, celebrity appearances, live entertainment, food and drink, shopping and family activities.

More than 50,000 visitors are expected across the four days at what is billed as the UK’s largest independent flower show.

The Red Devils announcement follows confirmation that the LFC Foundation will also attend this year’s event, bringing the UEFA Champions League trophy for photo opportunities.

Liverpool Football Club’s official charity will have its own eight-foot floral display alongside interactive sporting activities and giveaways.

A host of familiar faces are also due to appear at this year’s show, including Anton Du Beke, Iolo Williams, Megan McCubbin, Su Pollard, Rob Rinder and Mr Motivator.

Garden personalities Adam Frost, Arit Anderson, Joe Swift and Lee Burkhill will be joined by chefs Phil Vickery, Briony May Williams and Candice Brown, while children’s entertainers Andy Day and Justin Fletcher are also among the guests.

The programme includes celebrity Q&A sessions in the Garden Theatre hosted by BBC Radio Merseyside presenter Kevin Duala, demonstrations in the Cookery Theatre and live music on the Piazza Stage.

The outdoor show arena will host dog display teams, birds of prey and horse shows, while families can take part in a children’s trail. A new wellbeing and mindfulness area, Lakeside Reset, will also make its debut for 2026.

Southport Flower Show runs from 10am to 6pm from Thursday to Saturday, before closing at 5pm on Sunday.

Early bird tickets remain available until Wednesday 19 August and can be used on any one of the four days. Children under 16 can enter free when accompanied by a paying adult.

Southport Flower Show is a registered charity, with profits reinvested into the year-round maintenance of Victoria Park.
