Hill Dickinson Stadium is set to host a huge Bavarian-inspired festival this autumn as Docktoberfest arrives on Saturday 3 October.
Running from 1pm until 10pm, the nine-hour event will transform Village Street into an Oktoberfest-style celebration featuring beer, Bavarian food, live brass bands, DJs, karaoke, games and VIP dining.
Docktoberfest will operate across five interconnected venues, allowing guests to move freely between different food, drink and entertainment experiences throughout the afternoon and evening.
Adding an authentic taste of Munich to the celebrations, historic brewing brands will take part in a traditional keg-tapping ceremony to officially mark the start of the festival.
At the heart of Docktoberfest, Kendall’s Social will be transformed into the event’s main bierhalle, complete with long tables, live music and entertainment.
Nearby, The Queen’s Head will become a dedicated tasting and sampling room, giving visitors the chance to try different drinks and discover more about the history and heritage behind the beers on offer.
Domingos will provide a more elevated festival experience, serving themed multi-course meals during the afternoon before becoming a riverside cocktail lounge later in the day.
The Prince Rupert will offer karaoke, games, challenges and interactive photo walls, while Dixie’s by Budweiser will be transformed into a Bavarian food hall serving pretzels, bakery favourites and a selection of hot dogs including Frankfurters and Bratwursts.
Connecting the venues will be Main Strasse, which will become a Bavarian-themed thoroughfare featuring entertainment, activations and surprises throughout the festival.
Live entertainment will begin at 1pm with local high-energy brass band Fat Cat Brass, who will perform until 3.45pm.
London-based Ivy League Oompah will then take over from 4pm until 6.45pm with a live oompah set, before an All The Classics DJ Set brings the festival to a close with three hours of party anthems from 7pm until 10pm.
General Admission tickets start from £20 for early bird admission, rising to £25 for standard tickets and £30 for last-call tickets in the days leading up to the event.
Each General Admission ticket includes one food token and one drink token, alongside access to the festival’s general entertainment areas.
VIP tickets start from £40 for early bird admission, rising to £45 standard and £50 for last call.
VIP guests will receive access to the Domingos VIP Lounge as well as a themed multi-course meal, with dining sittings available at 1.30pm, 2.30pm and 3.30pm.
Domingos will then reopen exclusively for VIP ticket holders from 5pm until 10pm.
Docktoberfest takes place at Hill Dickinson Stadium from 1pm to 10pm on Saturday 3 October.
