Former Liverpool FC Women’s captain Niamh Fahey and acclaimed Liverpool actress Sue Johnston are among the latest names confirmed to take part in this year’s Kip on the Kop at Anfield.
The pair will swap their beds for a night on the Kop on Saturday 26 September, joining supporters and a host of familiar faces to raise vital funds for people affected by homelessness across the Liverpool City Region.
Comedian John Bishop will also take part, alongside former Liverpool players Sammy Lee, Natasha Dowie, Becky Easton and Chris Kirkland.
Anfield’s famous Kop stand will be transformed into a sleepout venue for the fourth consecutive year, with participants spending the night at the home of the Reds while raising money and learning more about the realities faced by people experiencing homelessness.
More than 400 people took part in Kip on the Kop last year, raising an impressive £119,575.
Registration is now open for the 2026 event, with supporters currently able to claim 25% off using the code TAKE25LFC.
Anyone who raises £250 or more by 30 October 2026 will also automatically be entered into a prize draw to win a signed Joe Gomez Liverpool FC shirt.
Participants must be aged 16 or over, with anyone under 18 required to be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Funds raised through this year’s Kip on the Kop will go directly towards two established local programmes – the LFC Foundation’s Pathway to Works programme and the outreach and wellbeing work delivered by Liverpool Homeless FC (LHFC).
The impact of the partnership can already be seen through two former Liverpool Homeless FC participants who have gone on to secure paid employment with the organisation in roles supported by funding raised through Kip on the Kop.
Both had experienced homelessness and initially came into contact with Liverpool Homeless FC through its support services, demonstrating how access to support, opportunities and meaningful employment can help people move forward with their lives.
With support from the LFC Foundation, Liverpool Homeless FC now engages with close to 4,000 people, offering a route out of isolation through football, companionship and structured support.
