Families across Merseyside are invited to step into the great outdoors this May half term as the National Trust launches a brand-new partnership with Pokémon.
The collaboration brings the widely loved brand to National Trust places for the first time, including an exclusive series of Pokémon TCG Mega Evolution Trails.
The partnership combines the historic gardens and parklands cared for by the National Trust with Pokémon’s spirit of play and discovery.
The initiative is designed to help more families feel welcome and curious about exploring the outdoors together through imaginative play and gentle physical activity.
Discover Pokémon at Speke Hall

Speke Hall in Merseyside has been selected as one of only 14 National Trust locations across England and Wales to host the Pokémon TCG Mega Evolution Trail.
The experience invites young trainers to build confidence outdoors and enjoy the fresh air as they search for 10 Mega Evolution Pokémon at 10 specific trail points.
Each point on the trail features a creative or physical challenge inspired by different Pokémon.
From showing courage and curiosity with the Darkness-type Mega Gengar ex, to unleashing energy and imagination inspired by the powerful Fire‑type Mega Charizard Y ex, the activities blend exercise with fantasy.
Plan Your Trainer Journey

A dedicated trail sheet will help young explorers keep track of their discoveries.
Upon completing the trail, families can celebrate their achievement together with a photo opportunity at a specially designed Pokémon TCG Mega Evolution Trail backdrop.
The Pokémon TCG Mega Evolution Trails are included with standard National Trust admission and are free for members.
The trails run in line with the local May half-term dates, starting from 23 May.
The May half-term activities are just the beginning of a wider partnership.
Pokémon-themed Summer of Play activities are set to arrive at even more National Trust places from July, offering further ways for families to enjoy time together in nature throughout the year.
Beyond Speke Hall, other nearby sites participating in the half-term trails include Quarry Bank in Cheshire and Sizergh in Cumbria.
For those visiting Northern Ireland later in the season, Rowallane Garden in County Down will join the fun from 13 June.
