Conductor Lawrence Foster is presenting Tchaikovsky’s Winter Daydreams on Thursday 4 December alongside Bruch’s Violin Concerto No.1 and Liszt’s Orpheus. Classical traditions are upheld with the annual Spirit of Christmas concerts between the 19 and 23 December and Handel’s Messiah on the 10 January. Both concerts feature the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir alongside star soloists. Organist Ian Tracey is also back on the 22 December for a lunchtime Organ Recital of Christmas songs.

On the 28 and 29 December, the Orchestra will be performing John Williams’ iconic score from Jurassic Park. Audiences can watch the action-packed film while experiencing the magic of a full symphony orchestra.

You can’t beat a Liverpool crowd, we know how to have a good party and I hope everyone can get into the festive spirit and then have a good old dance! Over the years I’ve had some great nights performing at the Philharmonic and I’m looking forward to another in December!’. Tony Hadley will also be bringing the Christmas Big Band Tour to the Hall for a selection of timeless jazz standards and swing anthems on the 5 December.
