Santa’s Secret Forest, the North West’s most exciting and enchanting festive attraction, is returning for Christmas 2026.
Following a sensational debut season that welcomed tens of thousands of visitors, the immersive Christmas spectacular will once again transform the breathtaking surroundings of Orrell Hill Woods in Hightown into a dazzling winter wonderland.
Currently rated as the #1 traveller-ranked attraction in Liverpool on TripAdvisor with an exceptional 4.9-star rating, the experience is set across more than 40 acres of beautifully illuminated woodland.
Guests are transported into a hidden world where festive storytelling, immersive theatre, and twinkling lights combine to create a spellbinding journey for all ages.
At the heart of the event lies the 2,700 sqm Christmas Hub, the bustling centre of Santa’s festive operations.
An Immersive Journey Through Operation Christmas

Families embark on an hour-long journey behind the scenes of Operation Christmas, led by a lively cast of mischievous and merry elves.
The adventure includes ten immersive theatrical scenes, starting at the Grand Lobby before visitors board the Tinsel Town Express alongside Conductor Merryweather.
The path leads through Santa’s Sleigh Garage, the North Pole Command Centre, and the Mail Room, where letters to Santa soar through transparent tubes.
The journey continues through the glowing Elf Village and the Toy Workshop, where elf magic brings the holiday spirit to life.
A nostalgic trip through the Time Tunnel precedes a trip in the Magic Elevator, lifting families for a heartwarming meeting with Santa himself at the North Pole.
Live reindeer will also be making an appearance again this year to add to the magic.
New Enhancements and Magical Surprises for 2026

Following overwhelming demand in 2025, organisers have unveiled several festive enhancements for the 2026 season.
These include a spectacularly enhanced illuminated light trail with brand-new installations, an interactive Elf Hunt hidden throughout the forest, and an expanded Merrywood Market featuring more festive food and drinks.
Event organisers Sidestep Events Ltd have also secured one of Europe’s largest snow machines to ensure magical snowfall moments, alongside a miniature festive train ride.
The popular 4D VR Sleigh Ride also returns, offering guests the chance to soar through the skies from the front seat of Santa’s sleigh.
James McMahon, Director of Sidestep Events Ltd, said:
“2026 is set to be even more magical and spellbinding than last year.
“Santa’s Secret Forest is building on an incredibly successful first season to create a truly immersive festive experience that captures the joy, excitement and nostalgia of Christmas for every generation.
“We’ve created an adventure into the very heart of Christmas, and we cannot wait to welcome families back to make even more unforgettable festive memories together this season.”
The attraction officially opens on Saturday 21 November 2026 and runs until Thursday 24 December 2026.
General admission tickets, which include access to both the Christmas Hub and the illuminated light trail, start from £45.
Light trail-only tickets are available from £16, with luxury VIP packages and payment plan options also provided on the website.
