Liverpool’s The Elf on the Shelf is at her last stop in the city, as she drops off presents at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.
The Scout Elf, called Mish’Elf, has spent the month causing festive mischief across Liverpool. Along the way, at certain locations, people have been able to drop off gifts for Alder Hey.

Organised by Liverpool Business Improvement District, The Elf on the Shelf is designed to bring a little Christmas spirit to the city in December. The toy drop-offs have been supported by Citadines, Liverpool’s Everyman Theatre, Royal Liverpool Albert Dock, St Johns, and Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.
Bill Addy is CEO of Liverpool BID, said:
“It means so much to us, and to our levy paying businesses, to be able to support Alder Hey at Christmas. We’re so proud of this wonderful institution and the work they do year in and year out. We are delighted to be able to bring some festive cheer with Mish-Elf”.

Neil Ashcroft is St John’s Centre Director, said:
“The Elf on the Shelf toy collection for Alder Hey is a cause that truly touches the hearts of everyone at St John’s. Knowing we can play a small part in brightening the day of a child spending Christmas in hospital is why we’re proud to be a major drop-off venue this year. This is more than collecting toys; it’s about showing the brave children and families at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital that their city cares. We encourage everyone doing their Christmas shopping to spare a moment and donate an extra, unwrapped gift to help create real magic where it’s needed most. Every donation brings comfort, joy, and hope, and truly means the world.”

Liza Marco, Senior Asset Manager at Liverpool Waters, says,
“Seeing Mish’Elf bring a smile to so many faces at Princes Dock was a wonderful reminder of how our waterfront can be a place for the whole city to come together. Liverpool Waters is proud to have played a part in supporting this fantastic initiative, helping to spread festive cheer while encouraging donations of new toys for the children at Alder Hey. It’s great to know that something which brought joy to visitors at Princes Dock will now help brighten Christmas for children and families at such an incredible hospital.”
