Royal Albert Dock Liverpool is transforming into a hub of music and floral appreciation for the upcoming Mother’s Day celebrations on Sunday, 15 March 2026.
The “Thanks a bunch” event invites families to mark the occasion with a city-wide gesture, featuring 2,000 daffodils being gifted to mums across the waterfront.
Starting at 12:00 pm, 400 hand-tied bunches will be available at the Martin Luther King Jr plateau and Britannia Courtyard on a first-come, first-served basis.
To ensure the gift feels personal, each bunch includes a bespoke tag for children to colour in.
On the reverse, little ones can jot down the reasons they love their mum, turning a simple floral offering into a lasting keepsake of the day.
It’s an opportunity to create a heartfelt moment against the backdrop of one of Liverpool’s most iconic landmarks.
Local Choirs Take Centre Stage for a Melodic Tribute

The floral giveaway serves as the perfect accompaniment to a 60-minute live musical performance.
Throughout the afternoon, the dock will echo with the harmonies of Singing Our Socks Off and the Liverpool Singers.
These female-led choirs are set to provide an uplifting, relaxed soundtrack as families arrive, creating a joyful, community-focused atmosphere that celebrates mother-figures in the heart of the city.
The performances are designed to turn a standard walk around the waterfront into a special occasion.
Whether visitors are just passing through or arriving for a pre-booked lunch, the choral sets provide a distinctively Scouse tribute to the day, filling the air with music as families “sing her praises.”
Waterfront Dining and Unique Finds for the Perfect Day

Those planning a full day of festivities will find plenty to enjoy across the estate.
Mums can be treated to a succulent roast at The Botanist, which is offering a complimentary Mother’s Day cocktail to guests, or indulge in a “Sunday Sharing Board” featuring a 10oz steak at Miller & Carter.
For unique gifts, the dock’s independent retailers are well-stocked for the occasion.
The Nest offers beautifully illustrated cards and thoughtful homeware, while Nature’s Treasure provides an array of crystals, jewellery, and ornaments.
With the combination of live music, heartfelt gifts, and scenic dining, Royal Albert Dock remains a premier destination for a memorable Mothering Sunday.
