The Summer Solstice Party is coming to Southport this weekend, with a fun, family-friendly Balearic Carnival for everyone to enjoy.
You can get involved with the longest weekend of the year during this big free event with lots to enjoy between 2 pm and 6 pm this Saturday, 20th June 2026.
Step into a Balearic carnival experience under the canopy at The Grand, the Lord Street Hotel and Punch Tarmey’s Irish Bar, along the Lord Street terrace, in the vibrant Northern Quarter area of Southport town centre.
There will be a brilliant line-up of top DJs, including Andy Carroll, Channe and Sunset Ali; children’s entertainers and carnival characters from Regally Royal Entertainment; great live music from the balcony at the Lord Street Hotel; and plenty of family fun.
You can savour some fabulous food and drink with a great British BBQ created by The Grand Head Chef Lee Hibberd and The Bold Head Chef Lee Whittaker-Locke and their teams. Expect delicious burgers, jerk chicken, sausages and kebabs.
There will be Kids’ Stations with ice cream, popcorn, candy floss and glitter face painting. Quench your thirst with an outdoor Peroni Bar and an outside Aperol Bar.
There will be a special Summer Solstice Negroni Rail with SIX limited-edition Negronis: Strawberry and Pink Pepper, Peach and Thyme White Negroni, Grapefruit Negroni, Blood Orange and Rosemary, Espresso Negroni, and Rhubarb Negroni.
The full food menu will be available inside The Grand, while you could also treat yourself and your family to Afternoon Tea at The Grand, with a 24-hour booking required.
After the Summer Solstice Party has finished, you can head inside and continue the party at The Grand, the Lord Street Hotel or Punch Tarmey’s.
Football fans can enjoy watching the football World Cup with the Netherlands v Sweden at 6 pm, followed by Germany v Ivory Coast at 9 pm.

Balearic House Music History and World Cup Staging Schedules
DJs performing will include DJ Andy Carroll, who moves from iconic Café del Mar sunsets to Pacha, Manumission, Cream at Amnesia and We Love Sundays at Space, in Ibiza.
Andy Carroll’s journey weaves chill Balearic roots with legendary Ibiza club energy, ready to bring both to the carnival!
The line-up also features Channe, a UK house producer and rising artist, bringing dance-floor energy with a Balearic twist, ready for the street carnival!
Additionally, Sunset Ali, creator of Sunset Sessions, brings that signature blend of DJ rhythms, live percussion, and didgeridoo, transforming the street carnival with the same crafted energy as the iconic Sunset events.
