Cocktail lovers across the region have a major new date to add to their summer diaries as Southport town centre prepares to host a massive celebration of its vibrant nightlife and hospitality sector.
The brand-new event will take place between Friday 7th August and Sunday 16th August 2026, giving residents and visitors ten days to sample a wide array of creative serves.
Visitors to Southport Cocktail Week can enjoy a curated line-up of limited-edition cocktails from just £5 upwards, all created exclusively for the event.
The response from the local business community has already been highly positive, with a diverse mix of bars, restaurants, and hubs signing up to showcase their mixology skills.
Over 20 venues in Southport have already signed up to take part, including House of Ivy, The Vincent Pacific Bar, Southport Market, The Office Bar and Restaurant, and many more.
The first Southport Cocktail Week will offer the perfect opportunity to visit the town centre with friends, sampling fabulous creations and discovering new bars.
At each participating venue, guests will find at least two exclusive drinks created just for Southport Cocktail Week. A Flagship Cocktail will be available from £5 upwards, with a more decadent Premium Cocktail on offer from £7 upwards.
That’s a line-up of more than 40 unique cocktails available throughout the event.
Alongside the bespoke menus, organisers have confirmed there will also be a range of food and drink offers available, alongside cocktail-themed events taking place at featured venues.
To enjoy these fantastic offers and limited-edition drinks, people can purchase a wristband online now for the price of £4.
Wristbands will be available to collect during the event, along with bespoke guidebooks featuring cocktail listings for each venue, maps, and other useful information.
As well as supporting local businesses by attending the event, money collected from wristband purchases will be donated to Queenscourt Hospice to support the fantastic work they do in Southport and the surrounding areas.

Southport Cocktail Week Built on Previous Success

The newly introduced festival stems from a desire to expand on the town’s existing event calendar following great public feedback from previous specialised drink campaigns.
Southport BID Head of Operations Luke Randles said:
“We (Southport BID) organised the first ever Southport Beer Week in 2025 and it was a huge success.
“The ambition was to always expand this format to other hospitality events and we are delighted to be working alongside BID businesses to launch Southport Cocktail Week this August.
“The event will be a celebration of cocktails, creativity, and the vibrant hospitality offer we have in Southport town centre.
“One of the things that we love about Southport Beer Week is that local businesses really get involved and make it what it is, and that local people really get right behind it too!”
Supporting Independent Town Centre Businesses

The timing of the initiative is designed to maintain a high level of footfall in the area following a string of major regional gatherings over the course of the year.
Luke Randles added:
“It’s been a busy year of high-profile events in Southport.
“We want to complement that with even more for visitors to enjoy.
“Watch this space for more announcements on similar events later in the year.”
Local traders who have not yet signed up still have an opportunity to participate in the upcoming festivities before the full guidebook listings are finalised.
If any Southport town centre businesses would like to get involved or would like any further details, they can email Luke Randles directly at luke@southportbid.com.
