Liverpool’s iconic waterfront is set for a major festive transformation this Christmas as Liverpool Christmas Wonderland takes over the Pier Head.
Opening on Friday 20 November, the new festive attraction will feature a huge covered ice rink, 36 attractions and 28 food and drink units, all set against the backdrop of Liverpool’s Three Graces.
Running until Sunday 3 January 2027, Liverpool Christmas Wonderland will combine ice skating with thrill rides, children’s attractions, games, festive food and drink and a range of Christmas experiences.
One of the biggest attractions announced so far is an 85-metre Star Flyer, billed as the tallest extreme Star Flyer in the UK.
Appearing in Liverpool for the first time, the towering ride will offer visitors panoramic views across the city and waterfront while spinning high above the Pier Head.
Other attractions already confirmed include The Yeti, Avalanche and Ice Twister, alongside an ice maze and eight children’s rides.
A brand-new Santa’s Grotto and Santa Sleigh Ride will also form part of the festive line-up, with further attractions still to be announced.
Food and drink will be a major part of Liverpool Christmas Wonderland, with 28 units serving a wide range of festive favourites.
Visitors can expect stone-baked pizzas, burgers and loaded Yorkshire puddings alongside sweet treats including roasted marshmallows, warm crumble and custard, churros, crêpes and mini Dutch pancakes.
Hot chocolates and mulled wine will also be available, while The Winter Club will provide a cosy place to meet for drinks and enjoy the festive atmosphere on Liverpool’s waterfront.
Off-peak skating tickets will start from £12.50 for children and £15.50 for adults, with family tickets starting from £49. Skate hire is included.
Entry to Liverpool Christmas Wonderland itself will be free, allowing visitors to head to the Pier Head to enjoy the food, drink, rides, games and festive atmosphere without booking an ice skating session.
Rides, games and other ticketed attractions will be available separately.

Liverpool Christmas Wonderland will be open daily from 11am until 9pm from Friday 20 November 2026 until Sunday 3 January 2027, closing on Christmas Day only.
