Liverpool’s biggest cake making company, Create A Cake, has revealed the city’s craziest bakes that the team has been asked to bring to life.
Owner Liam Roberts, 36 from Childwall, opened Create A Cake on Page Moss Lane in Huyton back in 2010 and the business has thrived over the years, growing to a team of five talented bakers that serve customers all over the North West including Ormskirk, Crewe, Wirral, Newcastle-Under-Lyme and beyond.
From classic bakes to extravagant wedding cakes, Liam and his team have created it all, including all of the weird and wonderful, extremely unique requests.
Liam explained:
“Over the years, the requests have definitely got more intricate and wild! Lately, it’s all about the Labubu dolls, bows and bento boxes! But the craziest request has got to be the baby shower cake. We have never made anything like that before and I don’t think we will ever again!”
With a slogan of ‘Count the memories, not the calories’, Create A Cake bakes and decorates intricate designs, with the team happy to bring their client’s visions to life – even if that means creating the female anatomy in cake form!
From creating Liverpool’s John Lennon Airport, to a tool box and kit, hand painted city landmarks including Sefton Park’s Palm House, the Cathedrals and the Three Graces, to a sewing machine, Nike trainers and bag of Doritos, Create A Cake is well versed in putting their award-winning skills and attention to detail to use.
The boutique, award-winning cake maker creates hundreds of cakes each week, and is the only Liverpool-based cake maker with an online shop meaning customers can purchase either in store or through the website.
Liam added:
“We take all of our Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Easter and Christmas orders through the website as we also have over 250 set design online options to order from, but it’s the extra intricate cakes that always put the team to the test. We love it as we thrive on being creative but sometimes that does mean hand painting Liverpool landmarks for seven days straight! I think customers can sometimes underestimate the detail and passion that’s poured into each and every cake that leaves us.”
Create A Cake is open Monday to Friday from 9am-4pm and Saturday from 9am-12pm. The website is active 24/7 so customers can purchase their dream bakes any time of day or night, even at 3am when many customers do!
