Liu Shi a new Asian Fusion Restaurant is coming to Hope Street

Liu Shi has announced that its brand-new restaurant, located at 60 Hope Street in the centre of the city’s historic Georgian Quarter, will open on January 25, 2024.

The restaurant is dedicated to serving dishes to customers using local ingredients combined with fragrant spices and flavours from across Asia, and it is superbly located in the shadow of the city’s two iconic cathedrals.

Liu Shi a new Asian Fusion Restaurant is coming to Hope Street

Liu Shi is a recent addition to Hope Street’s bustling leisure scene. It offers a broad menu of Asian fusion dishes, some of which you may recognise and others created by Liu Shi chefs, as well as a chic interior and a laid-back vibe.

Liu Shi is celebrating the opening by offering its first diners a free drink with their meal. Phil Breen, General Manager of Liu Shi said:

“We are excited to bring relaxed fusion dining to Hope Street. The area is vibrant and full of Liverpool history with a tremendous buzz. Whether guests are exploring, celebrating, or dining with friends, colleagues or loved ones, looking for a memorable dinner or just a few snacks, our menus are affordable to suit every occasion. With a free drink for our first diners, guests will be able to experience the service and enjoy a celebratory toast on us.”

Liu Shi at 60 Hope Street is a three-story restaurant that is conveniently located near the well-known “A Case History” suitcase sculpture by John King (1998). The top floor of the restaurant can accommodate up to 120 guests for weddings, parties, corporate events, anniversaries, baby showers, launches, and intimate gatherings, while the lower levels can accommodate up to 120 guests.

Phil Breen, with over 15 years’ experience in hospitality is keen to welcome guests and adds:

“Our chefs are busy finalising the menu and we are really looking forward to showcasing our dishes to Liverpool diners – we know that visitors will love what we have planned for them. There will be something for everyone, from snacks and nibbles to small and large plates, including duck cottage pie, Asian inspired Sunday roast and weekend brunch”.

Guests can also stop by for a few drinks and enjoy bao buns, tempura prawns, and salt and pepper chips, which are perfect for lighter bites. Vegans and guests with food allergies or other dietary restrictions need not worry; Liu Shi has exciting options for everyone.

Whether you come to Hope Street for culture, leisure, celebration, or to visit the Philharmonic Hall, Everyman Theatre, the Cathedrals, or simply to wander for a few hours, you won’t find a more welcoming place to enjoy one of the city’s most beautiful parts.

Guests can follow Liu Shi on Instagram @liushihopestreet and other social platforms to keep up to date.

To secure your spot as one of the earliest guests, you have the option to make a booking now. By doing so, you will also receive a complimentary drink for each person in your party. This enticing promotion will remain valid until the 11th of February. Additionally, if you subscribe to their mailing list, you will have the opportunity to participate in a draw for a £50 restaurant voucher.
