LFC’s 20th league title creates records on and off the pitch

LFC's 20th league title creates records on and off the pitch

LFC’s 20th league title win is officially the most engaged Premier League win ever and the club’s most engaged day of all time on social media.

Liverpool Football Club has now won 47 major honours, making it the most successful club in English football. But it’s not just on the pitch that records were broken; content posted by the club, and viewed across its global social media channels, has made history too.

Blinkfire Analytics released figures that show Liverpool’s victory against Spurs to claim the Premier League had over 71 million social media engagements across Sunday and Monday – 23% more engagements than the 22/23 title, which previously held the top spot, and 91% more engagements that last season. Making it the most engaged title win ever by a Premier League club across all major competitions.

The matchday alone was LFC’s most engaged day on social media ever, with 58 million engagements, reaching over 1.1 billion social impressions across club channels in the matchday cycle.

There were over 429 million video views across LFC social channels (excluding X), and the club gained almost half a million new social followers during this period too.

All figures from Blinkfire Analytics are pulled from across all major social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Threads, X, TikTok and YouTube.

LFC are already leading the way as the most engaged club in the Premier League so far this season,  reaching 1 billion engagements in March.

Earlier this year, LFC reached 11 million subscribers on YouTube, after receiving the Diamond Play Button back in May 2024 for reaching 10 million subscribers on the channel – the first in the Premier League club to reach this milestone.

The club continues to see this increase in engagements due to its highly creative and original organic content along with its matchday, behind-the-scenes content featuring the men’s and women’s team.
