Everton’s waterfront home, the Hill Dickinson Stadium, has been shortlisted for two major honours as part of a strong package of nominations for the Club at this year’s Football Business Awards.
Since officially opening its doors in August last year, the stadium has quickly established itself as a global benchmark for sports architecture.
These latest nominations further cement its growing reputation within the industry, marking a successful first year of operation on the banks of the Mersey.
The stadium is currently in contention for the prestigious Best Football Club Stadium Experience award, a category that recognises excellence across the entire supporter journey on matchdays and beyond.
This evaluation covers everything from high-end catering and cutting-edge technology to staffing, stadium tours, and the overall fan experience.
Additionally, the venue has been shortlisted for Best Brand Activation Involving Football, acknowledging the creative use of its internal and external spaces to tell the story of Everton’s heritage, as well as the historic docklands surrounding the site, celebrating the Club’s deep connection with the city’s waterfront.
Innovation and Marketing Excellence Recognised
In total, Everton has received four nominations for the upcoming ceremony, which is set to take place in London this May.
Beyond the physical stadium, the Club’s marketing and engagement strategies have also earned significant recognition.
A nomination in the Best Club Marketing Campaign category acknowledges the rebranding of Goodison Park and the launch of Everton Women’s first season at the historic stadium.
Goodison Park has been transformed into the largest dedicated women’s football stadium in England.
The Club’s Forever Blue Membership and Rewards scheme has also been shortlisted in the same category, highlighting efforts to deepen supporter engagement and provide new benefits for fans through a refreshed offering.
Furthermore, innovation within the stadium’s premium hospitality spaces has been recognised.
Specifically, the bespoke algorithm that was designed to deliver complex dining operations across four distinct restaurant environments within “Dock On 1,” which earned a nomination for Best Use of Technology in Football.
A Growing List of Industry Accolades
The Football Business Awards are part of a wider wave of acclaim for the project as it moves through its inaugural season.
Hill Dickinson Stadium has been shortlisted for a Regeneration Impact Award at next month’s Sunday Express Construction and Property Awards in Manchester, which recognises developments that deliver lasting economic and social benefits.
Additionally, the venue is a finalist for Stadium of the Year 2025 in the global public vote organised by StadiumDB.com, where fans across the world can vote for the best stadium completed in the previous year.
These latest nominations follow a highly successful launch period for the waterfront landmark.
The project was previously crowned Project of the Year at TheStadiumBusiness Design & Development Awards 2025 and won Outstanding Development of the Year at the Liverpool City Region Property Awards 2025.
