Hill Dickinson Stadium has opened its doors to welcome a group of care-experienced young people from across Liverpool, offering them an unforgettable look behind the scenes at the club’s new home.
As part of National Care Leavers Month, a number of young people who have left — or are preparing to leave — local authority care were invited for an exclusive tour of the state-of-the-art venue. For some, it marked their first-ever visit to a football stadium.

The group explored key areas of the stadium complex, including the impressive circular home dressing room, the Media Centre and the pitchside area, gaining a rare insight into the inner workings of a Premier League matchday environment.
Jenny Glennard, Corporate Director of Children & Young People’s Services, at Liverpool City Council, said:
“On behalf of Liverpool Children’s Social Care, I would like to extend my gratitude to Everton for providing our care experienced young people the fantastic opportunity of visiting the Hill Dickinson Stadium as part of National Care Leavers month.
“The opportunity to visit the new stadium and be given a personal group tour was an experience and memory that they will never forget. The young people have expressed how much they enjoyed the tour and how impressed they were with the stadium, as well as the staff at Hill Dickinson who made them feel welcome.
“Everton Football Club is an important part of Liverpool, and I am delighted that our young people were able to visit Hill Dickinson and enjoy their experience.
“We value our relationship with Everton and look forward to continuing to work with the club in the future.”

The visit was arranged in partnership with Liverpool City Council’s Leaving Care Service, which provides vital support to young people transitioning out of care. Through a person-centred approach focusing on independent living, planning and assessment, the service helps to improve outcomes across education, training, employment, health and housing — empowering young people to build brighter, more secure futures.
