Residents across Merseyside are being invited to learn a new skill and support a vital cause this summer as a special silversmithing workshop in Frodsham raises funds for Cancer Research UK.
Hosted by local jeweller Clare Handley, owner of Halton Village Silver, the hands-on workshop will take place on Saturday, 15 August 2026 at Lady Heyes in Frodsham, offering participants the chance to design and create their own handcrafted silver ring while contributing to life-saving cancer research.
The event aims to combine creativity, community spirit and fundraising, giving attendees a memorable experience while helping Cancer Research UK continue its work in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
Frodsham Silversmithing Workshop Offers Unique Creative Experience
The beginner-friendly workshop is open to anyone interested in jewellery making, regardless of experience.
Participants will be guided through the process of creating their own silver ring by experienced silversmith Clare Handley, who has built a reputation for crafting bespoke jewellery and delivering engaging creative workshops across the region.
The workshop fee of £55 includes all materials needed to make the ring, expert tuition throughout the session, refreshments and a special goody bag for every guest.
With places limited to just eight participants, organisers are encouraging people to book early to avoid disappointment.
The intimate group setting is designed to ensure everyone receives plenty of one-to-one guidance while enjoying a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
Cancer Research UK Fundraiser to Benefit from Workshop Proceeds
Every penny raised from the event will be donated directly to Cancer Research UK, helping fund pioneering research that continues to improve cancer prevention, detection and treatment.
Clare Handley said:
“This workshop is a wonderful opportunity for people to learn a new skill, enjoy a creative experience and support an important cause at the same time.
“Every booking will help raise funds for Cancer Research UK, making a real difference to the work they do, and we have some very special surprises for everyone who attends.”
The event is expected to attract participants from across Cheshire, including Frodsham, Runcorn, Widnes and the surrounding areas, offering a unique opportunity to enjoy a creative day out while supporting an important national charity.
As well as leaving with a handmade silver ring, attendees will know they have contributed to research that could help save lives in the future.
The workshop will take place at Halton Village Silver, Lady Heyes, Frodsham, on Saturday 15 August 2026 from 10.30 am.
