Everton will trial a new team-arrival experience at Hill Dickinson Stadium this weekend, with supporters invited to gather on the Western Terrace to welcome David Moyes and his players ahead of Saturday night’s Premier League fixture against Arsenal (8pm kick-off).
Team arrivals became a hugely popular part of the matchday atmosphere in recent seasons, particularly during the Club’s final years at Goodison Park. This weekend will mark the first opportunity for supporters to recreate that tradition at Everton’s new waterfront home.
The Western Terrace, with its stepped seating forming a natural amphitheatre, will provide the backdrop for fans to cheer the team into the stadium as they arrive by coach.
Supporters are encouraged to arrive early, with the Western Terrace opening from 5pm. Access to the stepped terrace will be via either of the two end vomitories. Please note that capacity in this area is limited and, once reached, the section will be closed for safety reasons.
The team coaches, accompanied by a police escort, are expected to arrive between 6pm and 6.15pm.
Fans are welcome to bring flags and banners to help create a vibrant and colourful atmosphere. However, the Club respectfully reminds supporters that pyrotechnics of any kind — including smoke grenades, smoke bombs, canisters and flares — are strictly prohibited anywhere within the stadium footprint. Searches will be carried out on arrival at the Regent Road wall.
Anyone found to be throwing, igniting or distributing pyrotechnics will be removed from the site and may face police investigation, alongside further legal or Club sanctions.
For safety and crowd-management reasons, coach routes will be cordoned off during the teams’ arrivals. Supporters are asked to follow all instructions from stewards and safety personnel throughout the process.
