Everton shows support for The Bradley Lowery Foundation during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

Everton has reaffirmed its commitment to The Bradley Lowery Foundation’s Cancer Has No Colours campaign as part of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

The Blues’ Premier League fixture against West Ham United, at Hill Dickinson Stadium on Monday 29 September, will be dedicated to the Foundation, which raises vital awareness and funds for childhood cancer research.

Everton shows support for The Bradley Lowery Foundation during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

Founded in 2017, The Bradley Lowery Foundation supports families fundraising for treatment and equipment not readily available on the NHS, while also contributing to research into neuroblastoma and other childhood cancers.

To mark Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, Bradley’s parents, Carl and Gemma, will be the Club’s special guests at the game. They will be joined by former Sunderland and England striker Jermain Defoe, whose close friendship with Bradley touched the footballing world.

Bradley became a national symbol of hope and inspiration for the courage with which he faced Stage 4 high-risk neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive childhood cancer. His special bond with Evertonians began in September 2016, when he walked out as a Sunderland mascot against the Blues at the Stadium of Light. Everton is proud to continue honouring his legacy today.

As part of the Club’s ongoing relationship with the Lowery family and the Foundation, Everton will back the Cancer Has No Colours campaign through mascot experiences, in-stadium activity, and player-led support throughout the matchday against West Ham.

Gemma Lowery said:

“Childhood Cancer Awareness Month is very close to my heart, and to have the continued support of a club like Everton means so much.

“The support they showed Bradley during his journey, and the way they have stood by the Bradley Lowery Foundation ever since, is truly incredible.

“Together, we can keep raising awareness and vital funds to ensure that children facing cancer today, and in the future, have access to better, kinder treatments. We are so grateful to Everton for standing with us in this fight.”

Looking ahead, Sunderland’s visit to Hill Dickinson Stadium on 17 May 2026, which would have been Bradley’s 15th birthday, will carry further significance in celebrating his enduring legacy.
