The local donut brand that customers say is “the best they’ve ever had” has opened a new location on Allerton Road.

The new site opened last Friday 27th October and the first 100 customers claimed a FREE ‘Homer’ donut, the same iconic pink sprinkle donut displayed in the window of every Doogle’s store. 

Derek’s, another well-known independent, is directly across the street from the new location. In fact, the two brands’ relationship dates back even further, as Doogle’s has been supplying Dereks with donuts since their launch in 2021, with both businesses benefiting from the collaboration.

Derek’s originally opened the unit on Allerton Road next to their sandwich shop as the ice cream concept Scoop, serving gelato during the summer months. When the opportunity to take over the space arose, Doogle’s founder, Christian Anderson, made an easy decision.

“We’ve loved working with Dereks over the past few years, and we’ve often joked about how the best donuts in Liverpool and the best sandwiches in Liverpool should be neighbours. When the opportunity came up for us to take over the lease it was an immediate yes – it’s our perfect match!”

Derek’s Co-founder Ethan Woodroofe says he couldn’t be happier with their newest neighbour on Allerton Road. “We’ve had a great relationship with Doogle’s since we opened in 2021, and there’s no doubt that they’re already a favourite with our customers! We know that Doogle’s will be a great fit for Allerton Road and our local community.”

Doogles will also be serving up a selection of Halloween treats including their frighteningly good Halloween Selection box of 6 spooky sweets treats which is available to preorder from any of their stores.
