The Beatles Story is inviting community performers from across the Liverpool City Region to take centre stage at its Fab4 Café at the Royal Albert Dock.
The award-winning Liverpool attraction recently launched its Sunday Sessions, offering free live music every Sunday from 12 noon for visitors to the café.
Local acts including Tom McConnell, Richard Batty and Carousel Duo have already performed as part of the programme, entertaining visitors from around the world and adding to the musical atmosphere at the waterfront attraction.
The Beatles Story is now looking to expand the Sunday Sessions by inviting a wider range of community performers and organisations to get involved.
Choirs, dementia-friendly performance groups, youth music organisations and other community initiatives which use music to bring people together are among those being encouraged to apply.
Successful applicants will have the opportunity to perform in front of an international audience at one of Liverpool’s best-known visitor destinations, while also raising awareness of their organisation or cause.
Performance opportunities are available from now and throughout 2027.
Andy Kelly, Guest Experience Manager at The Beatles Story and a member of the attraction’s Community Strategy Focus Group, said:
“Liverpool has an incredible community spirit and an amazing wealth of musical talent. Through our Sunday Sessions, we’re delighted to be able to offer a platform for local groups to share what they do with visitors from all over the world.
“Whether you’re raising awareness for an important cause, bringing people together through music, or simply looking for an opportunity to perform, we’d love to hear from you. We want these sessions to celebrate the people, passion and creativity that make our city so special.”
Community groups interested in taking part can register through The Beatles Story’s Sunday Sessions form here.
The initiative is part of The Beatles Story’s wider commitment to community engagement and sustainability. The attraction recently achieved Gold accreditation from Green Tourism.
