Indian street food and craft beer pioneers Bundobust are celebrating one of the world’s greatest culinary collabs with the return of their Indo-Chinese specials this Spring.
For a limited time only, Gobi Toast and Salt & Pepper Okra Fries and a new and a new and improved vegan version of TOFOO 65 are back on the menu by popular demand at Bundobust’s renowned restaurants across the North of England – and are joined by two BRAND NEW spicy specials.
Inspired by Kolkota’s legendary Chinatown district, each dish has been specially crafted as an homage to this great meeting of flavours, and sealed with a signature Bundobust twist.
The specials
No Friday night feast is complete without a slab of prawn toast, but Bundobust’s GOBI TOAST takes it to the next level. Deep-fried pav soldiers have been crowned with garlic and ginger minced cauliflower, crusted with mixed sesame, and served with coconut korma dipping sauce.
In a true clash of Northern titans, SALT & PEPPER OKRA FRIES are a spicy celebration of the great Chinese chippy. Bundobust’s top Indian street food dish is given a sensational Sino makeover — salt and pepper crispy okra, tossed with peppers, onions, chilli flakes and soy sauce.
Bundobust’s SCHEZWAN FRIED POHA is a fiery twist on one of the most popular Indo-Chinese dishes. It’s a flattened fried rice frenzy, bursting with ginger, garlic, red chilli paste and soy sauce.
TOFOO 65 is Bundobust’s Chinese spiced tofu spin on the classic Indian Chennai Hotel Buhari 1965 recipe. Chunky fried Tofoo in a dynamic sauce rich with five-spice, miso, fermented red chilli, green pepper, spring onion, white pepper, garlic, and ginger.
Tofu 65 is a collab with The Tofoo Co. – one of the UKs largest high quality Tofu producers. Find out more about Tofoo here – https://tofoo.co.uk/
Bundobust diners can enjoy an INDO CHINESE COMBO FOR 2 as part of the special season. That’s all of the above, plus their legendary Gobi Manchurian, for £33.00.
