St. Joseph’s Hospice is set to brighten up Crosby this autumn with the launch of its inaugural Illuminate Walk.
The 5km, family-friendly event will take place on Friday 26th September, starting from Merchant Taylors’ School on Liverpool Road, Crosby.

Festivities will begin at 6:30pm, with participants invited to collect their hospice t-shirts, enjoy refreshments, dance to live DJ music, and have their faces painted. A fun group warm-up will get everyone ready before the walk begins at 8:00pm.
Registration is now open, and the hospice is encouraging local families to come together and support this much-loved community charity.
As an independent charity serving local families for over 50 years, St. Joseph’s Hospice relies heavily on fundraising to continue its vital work. With running costs of £11,500 per day, the goal of the Illuminate Walk is to raise enough to fund a full day of specialist care.
Zoë Furnivall, community and events fundraiser for St. Joseph’s Hospice, said:
“This is going to be a really fun evening and it’s suitable for everyone, and all ages. The route is pushchair and wheelchair friendly too. So, bring along your friends, family, and colleagues, and don’t forget your glowsticks!”
Entry costs £20 for adults and £10 for children, with family discounts available. Each registration includes a t-shirt, medal, and goody bag.
